WCS Accreditation

Well Control Instructor-led Training Accreditation

The Well Control School - Instructor-Led Training Accreditation

The Well Control School (WCS) developed instructor-led training accreditation based on providing high-quality training that the industry requires in order to successfully drill and service oil and gas wells. Taking a course that is certified by WCS means that candidates are receiving the latest, state-of-the-art well control training available and designed to suit the industry's training requirements. By providing high quality and industry-relevant training to personnel and crews, WCS certified training serves as a cornerstone for the professional development of the skills, knowledge and competence that oil and gas operators, consultants and contractors require to safely execute their tasks. All candidates enrolled in an instructor-led course are assured that the standards of instruction maintain and rigorously adhere to IOGP 476, and BSEE Subpart O requirements. The core curriculums for these courses will meet the minimum content requirements of IOGP 476 and are provided only after the curriculum and instructors have completed a quality audit that ensures strict adherence to the standards outlined in this document. These standards cover areas such as curriculum development and administration, instructor certification, testing procedures, simulator quality and training facilities.
